Dr Nasir has done his Post Graduation and Doctorate Degree in Renewable Energy Engineering with Bachelors from Agricultural Engineering. He has been involved in different projects ranging from Farm Power, Bio-energy, Biomass Conversion, Sustainable & Rural  Development, Skill Development and Business Development. He has also been a Resource Person with J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development(JK-IMPARD) on Watershed Management and Soil-Water Conservation and has trained employees of IWMP and Rural Dev. Deptt of J&K Govt. He has also given various lectures on Solid-Waste Management and also held various Jigyasa Programmes. He was first candidate from J&K to get prestigious Visitors fellowship during his Masters from Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), Solar Energy Centre.
