Bio Sketch

Dr. Govind Yadav is a microbiologist and immunologist. His specialisation in the therapeutic evaluation of Immunomodulators, Tissue repair agents and Antimicrobials. Currently, Dr Yadav involved in  the invivo preclinical studies for Drug discovery. He worked with prof.Igarashi, the then Director NRCPD,obihiro,Japan and learn molecular techniques and evaluation of therapeutics .   He Joined CSIR-Indian institute of integrative Medicine(CSIR-IIIM) as Scientist in 2010. Before he joined CSIR-IIIM, Dr. Yadav used to work in NRCPD, Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine,Japan., DUVASU Mathura and College of Veterinary and Animal Science, Bikaner, Indian Veterinary Research Institute(IVRI),Izzatnagar, India.

Dr. Yadav’s area of interest is Development/Establishment of Animal models of diseases and IND Enabling studies/Invivo preclinical studies for drug discovery. He is Interesting to explore natural product through immunomodulatory approach for the treatment/prevention of serious diseases and one health approach to deal with drug resistance.

Dr. Yadav enthusiastically involved in the establishment of key facilities for the institute  that is (i)GLP Standard Invivo Laboratory for Drug Discovery(Experimental Animal facility for drug discovery), (ii)  facility for evaluation of high value promising compound for Mutagenicity ,carcinogenicity potential(Cancer risk Assessment). (iii) Invivo Hollow fiber mouse model for evaluation anticancer compounds, etc. He is continuously working to meet the gaps in existing capabilities to strengthen IND Enabling studies.
