As part of its Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR), CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) Jammu has adopted 30 Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATL) in Jammu and Kashmir, supported by NITI Aayog. These labs provide activity-based learning, encouraging students from grade VI to XII to develop problem-solving, tinkering, and innovative skills. In line with the MoU signed between the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and the Atal Incubation Mission (AIM), CSIR-IIIM Jammu organized a three-day science workshop for 15 ATL schools from the Jammu region, including students from Jammu, Udhampur, Doda, Kishtwar, Hiranagar, Miran Sahib, Dadwara, and Reasi.
Around 60 students participated in hands-on experiments in biology and chemistry. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, Director, CSIR-IIIM, who emphasized the need for students to pursue science careers for the nation’s development. Dr. Asha Chaubey, Sr. Principal Scientist, welcomed the students, while Dr. Qazi Naveed Ahmad delivered the vote of thanks. The event was conducted by Vidushi Abrol.
