CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu, celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm, bringing together scientists, technical and administrative staff, students, farmers, workers and members of the CSIR-IIIM family.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Zabeer Ahmed, Director, CSIR-IIIM Jammu and CSIR-NBRI Lucknow, paid tribute to the freedom fighters and called upon everyone to contribute towards building a strong, prosperous and Viksit Bharat by 2047. Emphasising the institute’s commitment to “Science for Society,” Dr Zabeer Ahmed highlighted CSIR-IIIM Jammu’s achievements in research, drug discovery, industry collaboration, farmer empowerment and societal missions, including the CSIR-Aroma Mission.

The celebrations featured patriotic songs, cultural performances, skits and dances by students of RRL High School, while certificates were also distributed among farmers.
