Bio Sketch
Deepika Singh is Principal Scientist and Head of NABL accreditated Quality Control & Quality Assurance Division. She holds expertise in regulatory affairs for Quality Control & Quality Assurance for Indian System of Medicine. Dr Deepika is the authorized signatory as per the scope of accreditation by NABL, a constituent board of Quality Council of India. She is the only government analyst in the UT of J & K for ISM medicines. She holds expertise for generation of Chemistry, Manufacturing & Control (CMC) data for phytopharmaceuticals as well as AYUSH formulations. She is an expert in method development and validation for antibiotic drug residues, heavy metals, and pesticides using sophisticated spectrophotometric and chromatographic techniques like LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, HPTLC and ICPMS. She has established procedures and standardized the protocols for phytopharmaceuticals. She has good experience in monitoring and evaluation of trace residues in processed agricultural products. Her research interest lies in dereplication of non-ribosomal peptide synthetases using mass spectrometric techniques and in isolation and characterization of peptaibols and peptaibiotics from natural resources. She has more than 25 international publications in peer reviewed international journals to her credit.
