Bio Sketch
Designed species specific plastid transformation vectors for Capsicum annuum and transformation efficiency evaluated in Scoparia dulcis L. Expression of industrially important genes in plastids with the help of tissue culture will leads to high level expression which can address industrial requirement of particular compounds (Secondary metabolites).
CRISPR/Cas 9 genome editing will be helpful to modify genes which involves in biochemical pathways. Designed vectors to evaluate transcription factors for P5CS gene and the same strategy will be helpful to increase important secondary metabolites concentrations in the respective plants.
