Bio Sketch
Dr. Ahmed’s research group is pursuing the research in field of heterogeneous catalysis, heterogenization of homogeneous catalysis, sustainable production of pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and bioactive compounds from biomass, lignin valorization, CO2 fixation to organic molecules, H2 production and storage etc.
Originally from J&K, Dr. Ahmed completed his undergraduate studies in science from University of Jammu. Further he moved to JMI, New Delhi for postgraduate studies in Science (Chemistry) and then joined University of Delhi and conducted his Ph.D. research in the field of catalysis with Prof. A. Sakthivel. He obtained his doctorate degree (Ph.D. in chemistry) from University of Delhi. In 2019 he joined as Scientist in CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad and started his independent research career. Further he moved to CSIR- IIIM Jammu and working as Senior Scientist in the QMI division of CSIR-IIIM Jammu.
