CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu is observing Special Campaign 3.0 from 2nd October to 31st October 2023 for improving Swachhata and minimizing pendency in Government offices. The month-long Special Campaign 3.0 was launched today by Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, Director, CSIR-IIIM after paying the floral tribute on the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi. The Scientific, Technical, administration staff members, students and other workers also paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi on his 154th Birth anniversary.
During launch of the event, Director, CSIR-IIIM while addressing the staff said that the Special Campaign 3.0 aims at improving overall cleanliness of Government offices and enhancing public experience of common public with Government offices. He further added that the campaign which will focus on liquidating pendency in the offices, coincides with the Birth Anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and at CSIR-IIIM it will continue till 31st of this month during which a series of events related to Swachhta Sharmdaan would be conducted. The Director emphasized the importance of “Swachhata” and encouraged the staff members and students in religiously maintaining the “Swachhata” at their work places and surroundings.
As a part of this Special Campaign, today a cleanliness drive was conducted in the main campus of IIIM, its Branch Lab. Srinagar and the Field stations to provide a clean and healthy working environment for its employees/visitors. CSIR-IIIM, Jammu under the ministry of Science and Technology observed this program for cleaning of lab., disposal of waste, cleaning the institute premises and its beautification.
The Special Swachhta Campaign 3.0 took off with enthusiasm under the leadership of Director, CSIR-IIIM, Jammu and with the guidance of “Swachh Bharat Mission Committee” comprising PN Gupta, Vikram Singh (Sr. COA), Ajay Kumar, Ravi Shanker, Rajendra Bhanwaria, Love Sharma, Chandra Pal Singh, Arvind Kumar Yadav, Jai Sharma (AEE Civil) and Bhupinder Singh (Security officer). Director IIIM appreciated the role of all HODs, different stakeholders, especially the students, sanitation section and engineering department for their active participation on day 1 of this special campaign 3.0.
