Remarks: "Perennial herbs from a taproot;  Leaves alternate or clustered at the ends of the branches, oblong-elliptic to linear, 4-15 (-25) mm long, 0.5-2 (-4) mm wide, petioles ca. 1-2 mm long, with a tuft of hairs 1-18 mm long in the axil.  Flowers  magenta  in  color.
