Remarks: Stems  1-3 ft. , branched from the base  and above , leafy . Leaves  flat , flaccid  , glabrous or sparsely hairy . . Rachis notched ; involucels quite sessile ; outer bristles short , densely villous below the middle , flexuous , very unequal , pale.
