Remarks: A  large  deciduous  tree  with  dark - grey  bark.  Leaves  long , shortly  stalked , oblong or  orbicular , obtuse or  shortly acuminate.   Flowers    white  3-4 in. across,  few  together in spikes at the end  of the  branches.
