Remarks: Deciduous   tree  growing  to  a height  of  30 m . Has  smooth  silver - grey  bark , lance - shaped  dark green leaves  , male and  female catkins  , and spiny  yellow  green  seed  cases  containing  2-3  glossy  brown  nuts.
