Microbial and marine Natural product chemistry.

  • Dereplication through Intact Cell Mass Spectrometry using Maldi Tof / Tof mass spectrometer to screen promising new bioactive peptides or peptaibols from the rich microbial biodiversity across the country, in particular to high altitudes and niche areas of the state and from the marine sources as well with novel drug discovery prospective.

  • Optimization of conditions for the maximal production of peptides or peptaibols by metabolic engineering of screened microbes through Maldi Tof Mass Spectrometer and the optimization of the extraction and purification method.

  • Identification and sequence determination of peptides and peptaibols through modern analytical techniques using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Mass spectrometer.
