Remarks: A medium- sized dioecious or polygamous deciduous tree with a rough dark - coloured bark, yielding an acrid juice.Leaves large crowded towards the extremities of the branches , oblong or obovate- oblong , rounded at the apex ,rounded cordate or cuneate at the base , usually contracted below the middle , entire ,coriaceous ,hispidly pubescent beneath; lateral nerves 16-24 pairs, stout,slightly arched. |
