Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) Srinagar (formerly RRL Srinagar) is a state of the art laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, India located in the suburbs of the picturesque Srinagar city. From the very inception this institute has contributed immensely towards the social betterment/upliftment by fostering HRD as well as setting up small scale industries. Currently the main focus of the institute is to exploit the unique bio-diversity of Kashmir valley with special emphasis on medicinal plants and microbes for drug development. The process involves multidisciplinary scientific teams which include plant and microbial biologists, natural and synthetic chemists, biotechnologists, pharmacologists etc. In addition the Institute is aiming at the development of national aroma centre with primary interests for value addition of indigenous aromas. |
