About:
Over the years IIIM has developed its rich Library resources. Records show that the Library was functional in this campus even during the pre-independence years. During those years, it used to be known as ‘DRL Library’ which was renamed as ‘RRL Library’ in 1958 when CSIR took-over DRL. RRL Library shifted to its new building on 13th September, 1974. RRL Library was subsequently renamed as IIIM, Library when RRL was renamed as IIIM. And presently this library is known as ‘IIIM Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC)”.
The objective of IIIM-KRC are to further the interests of ‘Users’ by means of providing them knowledge services to enable them to keep a track of significant development in their fields of interest. It supports its Scientists, Students and other S&T users with current and even evolving knowledge in their respective spheres of R&D. It has a rich collection of books, periodicals, databases and other intellectual material. Broadly speaking, the KRC Collection covers the following major areas with its nicely developed collection:
1. Biotechnology.
2. Botany.
3. Natural Products Chemistry (NPC).
4. Pharmacology.
5. Quality Control.

It has computerized all its in-house activities which are being maintained and updated regularly. KRC ‘Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC)’ and ‘Digital Institutional Repository’ have also been development. However, as of now, these are available over Institutional Intranet.
It also caters to the information needs of the external individual users and corporate houses as well. This membership is open to industrial clients, postgraduate students, faculty members of colleges, universities and government organizations etc. on payment basis.
Working Hours: All working days (Monday to Friday) from 0900 hrs to 1730 hrs.
