This center is actively engaged in the preparation of
databases on the medicinal plants from the north west
Himalayas and also plants used in Ayurveda, Sidha and
Unani systems of medicine. In DIRS, the ongoing projects
are mainly focused on the comprehensive monographs of
50 native medicinal plants of Indian subcontinent for
botanical, agrotechnological, chemical , pharmacological,
and commercial aspects; database on 500 medicinal plants
of north west Himalayas covering botanical, chemical,
pharmacological and traditional knowledge and preparation
of digital library of more than 2600 ISM plants for cytological
and pharmacological information. |
